Common Relationship Problems: How Therapy Can Help

Relationships – whether with family, friends, or partners – will have had a marked impact on our sense of self and how we relate to others. They can provide us with security, affection, excitement and hope, but our closest relationships are often the playground – or battleground – upon which our deepest vulnerabilities, our most damaging behaviours, and our unresolved past hurt can be revealed.

Can Art Therapy Help Improve Your Mental Health?

We all know that one scene in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. No, not where they join the parade. Or drive Cameron’s dad’s red convertible through the window. Or where they bluff their way into the restaurant. I guess it has quite a few iconic scenes, actually. But the one we’re referring to is Cameron in the museum looking George Seurat’s painting “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte”. He stands, gazing at the artist’s depiction of a child holding hands with his mother. He is visibly moved, connecting with the painting in a way that he doesn’t seem to be able to with other people.

Love, Relationship

Is a love problem?

Love is the most beautiful feeling in the world but sometimes people think it brings problems. My question is, if love brings problems then what does the opposite of love bring? What is the opposite of love? It is hate which is also not a good feeling. Nature creates both aspects, like day and night, black and white, girls and boys, up and down and so on. Why did nature do this? It is because nature wants to create a balance.

Happiness, Motivation

Happiness

A good life is built through good relationships. Good relationships bring happiness and happiness brings health, wealth and a long life. But the question is – how can we be happy? Do expensive clothes bring happiness? Does a luxurious life give you happiness? Does a successful position in society give you happiness? The definition of happiness varies from person to person.
